The Soft German Rex

The German Rex is part of all the races Rex, who also owns the Devon Rex and Cornish Rex, and its most outstanding feature is the one with curly hair. The first cat it is known belonging to this race is Munk, a curly-haired cat from a product of a Russian Blue and brown Angora, though it was not until 1950 that began the selective breeding of this breed from a specimen discovered by veterinarian R. Scheuer-Karpin.

It is a medium sized cat, strong and muscular. It has a short curly hair, soft and velvety, making it very pleasant to the touch and has a bushy tail. Their eyes tend to coat color, as does the nose. The coat supports all the colors and patterns, although it is common to have shaded white. As with the other cats of the breed Rex, his eyebrows and mustache also have a tendency to curl.

They have a sociable, lively and playful as well as being very loving and gentle, so they are considered a breed particularly suited to live with children, mainly due to his love of play and, while encouraged, is also patient and tolerant. One of the things you do enjoy are the stunts and jumps, constantly repeating, so we encontrárnoslo in the most unlikely of housing.

It adapts well to any space, either a flat or a house with gardens but prefers to live indoors, because, despite his curly hair, a cat is very chilly, and likes to be the heat, especially in winter.

To care for your hair and maintain its shine and softness, we pass daily flannel glove.
